Helifix DryFix Ties Testing in Cob

RMD Structural Specialists recently carried out testing of Helifix DryFix ties in cob walls to assess their suitability for structural reinforcement.

The project involved pull-out testing to evaluate the tie’s performance in cob’s unique composition.

The results provided valuable data on load-bearing capacity and fixing effectiveness, ensuring the solution is appropriate for securing and stabilising cob structures.

The testing was completed with minimal disruption, supporting future conservation and repair works using Helifix-approved methods.
