— From Survey to Completion

The Helifix Crack Stitching Process

1. Survey and Diagnosis

A thorough site inspection is conducted to assess the severity of the cracks and identify the underlying structural issues. A tailored repair plan is then created based on the findings.

2. Preparation and Cutting

Horizontal slots are cut into the mortar joints of the affected masonry, following precise spacing requirements to ensure optimal reinforcement.

3. Helifix Stainless Steel Bar Installation

Helifix HeliBars, high-tensile stainless steel helical bars, are inserted into the pre-cut slots. A specially formulated Helibond grout is applied to bond the bars securely to the masonry, ensuring a strong and flexible repair.

4. Repointing and Finishing

Once the grout has cured, the slots are repointed with a matching mortar, restoring the appearance of the wall.

5. Final Inspection and Warranty Issuance

A final assessment is carried out to ensure the repair meets structural requirements. The Helifix Structural Warranty is issued, guaranteeing the quality and longevity of the repair.
